Leesburg FC Storm WHITE – a 2007 (Fall ’18 U12) girls team competing in the NCSL.
The Leesburg FC Storm (U12 Girls) team is expanding!! A second team is being formed now that will compete in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) this coming Fall alongside the existing LFC Storm (Blue). The team is looking for an additional 3-5 players that would like to play at a competitive level above recreational. The emphasis will be on having fun, improving technique, fitness, and learning the mental aspects of how to play soccer. Having the girls develop friendships that extend beyond their time together on the field will be a key goal of the program.
Jim Miller will serve as head coach and will be supported by a staff of professional trainers as well as Beth Fuller from LFC Storm (Blue). Coach Miller has coached at the recreational and travel levels for many years. Prior to that, he played NCAA Division I soccer at Virginia Tech.
Practices are anticipated to be twice a week beginning in the late summer and extending throughout the Fall season. League games will be played on Saturday or Sunday against NCSL opponent teams in the region. Roughly half the games are expected to be played at LFC’s home field of Morven Park in Leesburg Virginia.
The fees for the Fall 2018 – Spring 2019 year are expected to be approximately $1,200. This includes club membership, league fees, professional training, uniforms, and field rentals. Other miscellaneous costs may be incurred. Tournament fees will vary based on the tournament sponsor. Parents and Coaches will decide which and how many tournaments to attend.
Please contact Jim Miller to request more information in advance of try outs.
